French Provincial Antique Furniture Reproduction

L.K Revival (formerly of High St, Armadale) specialises in the reproduction of antique French Provincial furniture. Lee Kauiers offers 27 years experience in the antique industry including antique restoration and dealing in 17th and 18th century furniture.

The exposure to original pieces led me to the art of antique furniture reproduction. It takes imagination, time, skill and above all experience to be able to replace large areas of an original piece and disguise the repair using techniques such as distressing colouring and patinating and other procedures so as to match something that has, for example, 350 years of ageing. The authentic Provincial look to further enhanced with the addition of my own French tubular hinges and escutcheons.

Being involved in antique furniture reproduction and the whole interior design industry for nearly 30 years has given me many ideas and concepts into furniture and architectural design in general, such as dining tables, coffee tables, sideboards, consoles and other related period furniture. I have also created modern contemporary pieces for clients. Because of my depth of experience in the reproduction of the antique French Provincial look and the ability to be able to work in mediums such as woods and metals, I am constantly commissioned to reproduce items such as period doors, gates, fire surrounds and roof domes.

Due to our experience, we are often asked to create pieces that on many occasions other cannot.
